Bath County Schools Digital Learning Coaches.....

• Work closely with district leaders and the Principal to implement and help share the vision of how technology will be implemented in the classroom.

• Assist teachers in maximizing the effective use of technology for learning, differentiating instruction, and providing rigorous, relevant, and engaging learning experiences for all students.

• Provide a vital real time professional learning role for district-by-district (or school-by-school) customized digital learning strategies tied to structured learning experience design, digital workflow, digital relationship, digital collaboration and student-design digital products. All of which are tied to remote and distance learning.

• Look for the latest insights and strategies on instructional technologies, personalized learning materials and pedagogical methods to mentor and coach educators in their district - providing seamless movement between blended (traditional and digital) designs.

Girls Who Code is on a mission to close the gender gap in technology.

Girls Who Code is where girls can join our sisterhood of supportive peers and use Computer Science to change the world.  

                                              Girls Who Code:

Grades 3-5: Club members read and discuss one of our best-selling books and complete creative challenges. These Clubs can be run entirely offline, with optional online components. Free curriculum, meeting guides and tutorials, and Facilitator support provided.

Grades 6-12: Club members build coding skills and community as they complete coding projects. Free curriculum, meeting guides and tutorials, and Facilitator support provided.

The Kentucky Department of Education’s Student Technology Leadership Program (STLP) uses project-based learning principles to empower student learning and achievement through the utilization (and creation) of technology to solve school and community needs. STLP provides a means for student to design, make, connect and learn.

Student products, projects, and services are showcased through local, regional, and state events. The “Big 3” events include Regionals, DPOJ, and STLP State Championship.

STLP is open to students in the 4th grade to the 12th grade .

STLP allows students the opportunity to demonstrate what they know in various ways called categories.

STLP taps into the students' interest and can challenge and motivate them.

STLP provides a means for students to design, create, collaborate and learn.

The Six Goals of STLP are:

1. Develop activities that enhance the academic, social and emotional growth of the student.
2. Provides leadership opportunities for all students.
3. Experience multi-age collaboration by forming innovative learning partnerships.
4. Form learning partnerships between students with different technology skills.
5. Develop activities which integrate technology and benefit communities.
6. Develop instructional activities which integrate technology and benefit the school.
