We have reached phase III of our mission/vision statement development.  Please take a few moments and go to the link below.  You will have the opportunity to provide feedback on the proposed statements.  At the end of the comment period, the leadership team will reconvene, consider the feedback from stakeholders, and propose the final statements.  These statements will be the ones that are brought before the board in the March meeting.  The survey will be open through Sunday, March 20th.

Greetings BCHS Students!

I wanted to share some information regarding NTI days.  NTI (Non-Traditional Instruction) would only be used districtwide and would be called by our superintendent. NTI packets are not work for students to do during COVID Quarantine, UNLESS you are on quarantine and an NTI day is called. In that situation, you must complete the NTI work for that day.  Most typically, NTI is called when there is a situation (usually due to weather) that would prohibit all students being in the building safely.  On NTI days, students are expected to work at home and will be accountable to complete their assignments.  Teachers will be available on NTI days via email and virtually to help students with NTI assignments. If the superintendent calls for an NTI day, he will say during this announcement that the day would be NTI.

Our district has 5 days that are called "banked days" that are worked into our calendar.  We do not have to make up those days.  As of today, we have used 4 of the 5 banked days.  Since it is still early in the winter season, our district has prepared for the possibility of NTI days.  The state is allowing our district to use up to 10 NTI days.

All students should have received hard copy packets from all of their teachers this semester with 10 lessons for NTI days.  Students will be expected to complete one lesson from each of their classes on NTI days.  So, for example, if our district only uses 5 NTI days this year students will only complete 5 lessons from their packets for each of their classes. Students will be expected to turn in the assignments they completed when we return back to school to each of their teachers.

High school is different than our other schools because each student has a unique schedule.  Because of this, each student will receive one packet per class in which they are currently enrolled.  If your student is unable to obtain their packets from their teachers by the end of the day on Friday, January 14th, (and accessing the assignments online is not an option), you are welcome to contact the school to request packets to be collected for your student and you can pick them up from our front office.  We do request that you call the school prior to pick up to allow us time to collect packets for your student's schedule. You are welcome to call the school or contact us via email to make the request (melanie.erwin@bath.kyschools.us or diana.cline@bath.kyschools.us)

If your student was absent and/or has lost their NTI hard copy packets, all NTI assignments can be accessed in their teachers google classroom.

If you have any questions or need further assistance, please let us know.
